(After games of Sunday, March 30; The Student Sports FAB 50 is a continuation of the National Sports News Service that began in 1944. These were the first national high school rankings and they were compiled by the late Art Johlfs of Minnesota. They were then compiled for many years by the late Barry Sollenberger of Phoenix, who merged them into the FAB 50 seven years ago.)

Huff is one of only three journalists who've been inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame. He's known as the founder of the national record book, originated the prestigious Street & Smith's preseason All-American teams and still updates football and boys basketball national records regularly for Student Sports. Huff is beginning his 21st consecutive season of compiling national high school football rankings. No one has done this type of work for more years. Tennis has been executive editor of Student Sports for 13 years and has been compiling California state rankings for 29 years. Huff and Tennis have worked together on the FAB 50 rankings since 1999.
